Travel

Flights

Denver International Airport (DEN) is approximately one hour from Boulder and has direct flights from Europe, Asia, and over 150 cities within North America. Once you arrive at the Denver International airport, there are several options to get to Boulder.

From DEN Airport

The public transit RTD SkyRide Route AB ($9 one-way) operates between the Denver airport and Boulder - the Downtown Boulder Station is only 3 blocks from the conference hotel. The buses leave almost every hour, and it takes approximately one hour to arrive in Boulder.

Uber and Lyft passengers can be picked up on Level 6 (Departures) at the main terminal. Uber's black car service operates on Level 5 (public transportation and commercial vehicles).

Shared Shuttles are also available including Super Shuttle and Green Ride Boulder. These shuttles can be reserved before arrival and can drop off passengers at any hotel in Boulder.

Finally, taxicabs are also readily available at the airport. The flat-rate charge for taxis from DEN to Boulder is $88.15.

About Boulder

Boulder sits up against the Rocky Mountain Range, at the base of the Flatirons, a series of beautiful rock formations overlooking the city. Boulder is well-known for being a great place to live with awards including: The downtown area, where FCCM will be held, is centered around the Pearl Street pedestrian walking mall, home to a wide variety of unique coffee shops, restaurants, breweries and art galleries. The FCCM hotel, the Boulderado, is located one block off the Pearl Street Mall and is itself a beautiful city landmark.

The University of Colorado Boulder campus, a short walk from the hotel, also has the Fiske Planetarium and the Museum of Natural History, with zoology and anthropology exhibits.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, there is also a wide range of activities within or nearby Boulder including bike paths, hiking trails, and leisurely city paths walks near creeks or the mountains.
