Abstract: Intel offers a broad portfolio of silicon architectures and open software solutions that deliver programmability, customizability and acceleration for the modern data center. For infrastructure workloads, this means low latency and high performance access to storage, XPU, AI and other disaggregated services. For application acceleration, this involves cloud native support. Speaker: Jim joined Intel in 2019 to lead the business unit responsible for computing & storage platform infrastructure, plus AI and blockchain acceleration within PSG’s Cloud & Enterprise Acceleration Division. Previously, he led data center marketing at Xilinx covering compute, networking, cryptocurrency and storage acceleration applications, and director of cloud marketing at Broadcom, where he led the creation of two new NetXtreme SmartNIC product families. He has held senior leadership roles in engineering, applications, solutions architecture, and business development at Netronome, Tilera, Spansion, and Motorola/Freescale. Jim was the co-founder of Motorola’s Security Technology Center and was recognized as a ‘Motorola Distinguished Innovator’ for 17 U.S. and International patents.
